When in Rome... -214

I had a test in Romans today. One part of the test was to memorize the passage Romans 3.21-26 in the NET translation.
I shall now type the entire passage from memory.
21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God (which is attested by the law and the prophets) has been disclosed -
22 namely the righteousness of God through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction,
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
24 But they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
25 God publicly displayed him at his death as the mercy seat accessible through faith. This was to demonstrate his righteousness, because God in his forebearance had passed over the sins previously committed.
26 This was also to demonstrate his rightoeusness in the present time so that he would be just and the justifier of the one who lives because of Jesus' faithfulness.

I made flash cards. I read it over and over. I wrote it down. I recited it to everyone who would listen. I wrote it from memory. I kept saying it again and again. Eventually, it got stuck in there. Even a week later it will be stuck in my head. That's the thing about repetition, it makes things stick!

In speech class, there were two questions on the test that looked something like this:

" 27. Repition helps the reader to remember the point.
a. True
b. False

28. Repition helps the reader to remember the point.

a. True
b. False"

Dr. Payton said you would get at least one right if you weren't sure. I got both right! Oh speech class! I wish all my classes were as easy and FUN as it was!

I may have spent too much time on the memory verse and not enough time on the other portions, but that's okay, I'm not super concerned.
